HVAC deals with air conditioning, while power engineering focuses on pressure equipment; there is a significant difference between the two.
In our facility, the HVAC and power systems are handled by the same team, so I see that those who work on air conditioning systems also take exams to obtain power system-related certifications
The basic exams are similar, but the specialized exams differ greatly. If you really decide to switch fields, it’s better to be cautious and spend a few years studying; although the fields may be related, there are still many differences between them. HVAC uses slight positive pressure, and almost all the equipment involved is pressure-related.
