Industry is particularly sluggish this year, and it’s hard to say how bad things will be next year

Previously, I worked in a laboratory in Shanghai doing analysis; my days were just routine work from morning to evening with no special feelings. In September I returned to Chengdu to work in laboratory equipment sales. Last week I went to Guangyuan, and out of 10 factories, 4 had no employees left, while another 4 rented only half of their factory spaces; only 2 group companies’ factories were profitable. Many of the small factories in Chengdu have closed down, and even the slightly larger ones are barely functioning. The laboratory has basically stopped making purchases, and since we represent foreign brands, their prices are too high to be acceptable. The company already has only around 20 employees, and now 3 more have been laid off. I don’t know how many more companies will go bankrupt by the end of next year. How many more people like me will lose their jobs?

It seems that this isn’t an issue specific to any one industry; what shall we do tomorrow?
I agree; many companies aren’t even paying salaries.
There’s nothing to do about it – every industry is facing difficulties these days. I hope the companies where everyone works can get through this period; it seems like this tough time will last for a long time.
Here in Dongguan, too, it’s the same routine of going to work and coming back every day, with no particularly noticeable difference. On the contrary, there are too many people commuting every day, and it’s extremely crowded even when riding a bike by oneself. :lol
Good employees are hard to find, and great companies are hard to come by.
