Under what circumstances is an isolator needed for a differential pressure flow meter?
When measuring media that cause severe corrosion to the transmitter diaphragm box

Looking at the comments and needing to reply – it seems that isolation should be added when corrosion occurs
Isolators should be installed when measuring viscous, crystallizable, condensable, sediment-prone clogging, corrosive, or flammable media.

An isolator must be used when measuring corrosive fluids or those with high viscosity, tendency to coagulate, or that precipitate solids.
Another point is that the differential pressure transmitter of the steam flow meter requires an isolation tank to condense the steam.
