All instrument units in the instrument measurement circuit will have errors; the AI modules and safety barriers also have errors, with the error rate for the AI modules and safety barriers in the DCS being 0.1%. The accuracy of the On-site Aotai intelligent digital display is ±0.5%. Using a simplified calculation method (by adding up the maximum errors of each unit), the maximum acceptable error for the entire system should be 0.7%. Is this calculation reasonable? I would also like to ask regarding the error of the pressure transmitter: for the S pressure transmitter, the accuracy is ±0.2%, and the range is from -100 to 1000 KPa. Is the allowable error calculated as ±2.2 KPa, or is it the actual measured value multiplied by 0.2%?
You're right about everything. But these errors are all laboratory errors. There are no issues in actual use.
If one only works as an instrument technician, it’s pointless to study these errors
Are there any standard specifications that can be used as a reference for the error level you mentioned?
Then how should the comprehensive error of the DCS system be calculated?
