The single-stage double-suction centrifugal pump we are using experiences temporary gas accumulation during operation, which affects the flow rate of the circulating water and consequently impacts the performance of the subsequent equipment. We would appreciate it if experts could help analyze the reasons for this issue. The pump model is 12SH-13, with a head of 32 meters, a flow rate of 792 cubic meters, and an outlet pipe diameter of 250 mm. Thank you
Is there a leak in the imported pipes? How did you know that there was a temporary accumulation of gas inside the pump?
The water level in the tank should be taken into consideration; leaks in the pump inlet pipes can also cause this situation.
Let’s check it from the perspective of the manufacturing process instead. Areas that need to be checked may include: 1. The liquid level in the inlet tank ; 2. Fluctuations in the liquid level of the inlet pool ; 3. Is the vortex breaker of the inlet pipeline intact?

A model similar to the 12SH-13 is the 300S32; is liquid fed under positive pressure for imported versions, or is suction used?
Not emptied. Air must be exhausted when filling the pump. The pipeline is leaking air. Check the inlet connection for any air leaks. Low inlet liquid level causes air ingestion. If it is a packing seal, check whether the packing has failed and is causing air leakage.
