What are the differences between reduced-pressure wax oil obtained through deep drawing of the same raw material and that obtained through shallow drawing?
For the same feedstock, deep drawing results in wax oil with a higher density, a higher dry point, a darker color, and a higher yield, whereas shallow drawing yields the opposite results.
After deep extraction, the reduced paraffin oil has a high density, a high dry point, and relatively high residual carbon; as a result, when it enters the hydrocracking reaction, the reaction temperature is relatively higher, leading to lower yields of light products
It depends on how many side streams the distillation column has. Generally, the side streams numbered 1, 2, and 3 don’t change much, while the lowest side stream becomes heavier after deep extraction; see the diagram for details.
After deep extraction, the boiling range, residue, heavy metal content, and density of the wax oil all increase; you can take samples for comparison.
Deep extraction is primarily aimed at providing catalysts with feedstock having a high hydrogen-to-carbon ratio; deep extraction under reduced pressure cannot be used if the reduced-pressure side stream is intended for use as a base oil for lubricants.
