The pipeline isn’t clean; it’s gotten clogged twice already. The technicians suggested installing a filter, but I don’t think that will help much, as it’s just small pieces of iron and similar debris – filters probably can’t catch those. I’m hoping someone with more experience can suggest a good solution
Are there that many iron shavings? Can the pipeline be cleaned thoroughly? Otherwise, no matter what type of flow meter you use, it will still affect the measurements. A rotameter is being used, which indicates that the pipe diameter is not large; over time, the filter screen will also get clogged. First, it’s necessary to figure out where the iron shavings come from or how they are generated.

Since rotameters rely on magnetic transmission, magnetic particles present in the fluid can easily attach to the float, causing it to get stuck. By installing a magnetic filter before the flowmeter, these magnetic particles are removed, preventing the float from getting stuck
Consider adding a larger blue filter.
Add a Y-type filter to remove impurities, and drain the waste regularly.

Jamming caused by sticky materials is common; clean it. Iron shavings are not common; why is there always iron shavings? If it isn’t cleaned properly, why do they keep appearing?
