I left my previous employer at the end of January this year; I had worked in the petrochemical industry before moving to oil and gas extraction. It was only after leaving that industry that I realized that although people working in petrochemicals are very tired, they don’t receive good pay. The 24-hour shift system damages one’s health, and being on standby around the clock drains all one’s energy. In short, there is work but no life. Observing my colleagues around me, I saw that they continued to work in those difficult conditions, while I have already left and made up my mind to stay away from that company.
That’s how things are in the petrochemical industry sometimes; working in a factory can be quite depressing

OP, I left the petrochemical industry 10 years ago and moved into oil extraction. Ten years have passed now, and aside from having higher salaries than those in the petrochemical industry, everything else is actually worse in this field. You’ll understand after working for a while. I don’t know how old the original poster is; at my age, I can’t jump anymore – I just manage to get by.
A high salary is really important; without a decent income, even one’s own parents will look down on them. First, check if there’s any room for improvement
