At room temperature, the motor is allowed two consecutive starts on its first startup. (Cooling time: 10 hours) The motor can be started immediately once after continuous operation in the operating mode. If additional startup is required, and the motor runs continuously, the next startup must take place after 60 minutes. If the motor operates under no-load conditions, the next start must take place after 30 minutes. If the motor remains powered off, startup must take place after 90 minutes. What does the previous paragraph mean? Please explain! Thank you!

Since the starting current of a high-pressure pump is very high, the motor windings heat up rapidly; continuous starting can burn out the motor windings, so they need to be cooled before being started again.

When a three-phase asynchronous motor starts, the starting current is very high (it can reach 4 to 7 times the rated current). Due to this high current flowing through the motor’s wires, the rotor wires generate a lot of heat during each start-up. This isn’t a problem if it happens only occasionally, but frequent starts can lead to heat accumulation that may damage the motor. Then there’s what you mentioned above: after a motor that is operating normally stops, only motors that are being used to handle emergencies or those whose startup time is less than 3 seconds can be started again immediately; in all other cases, at least 30 minutes must pass before they can be restarted.
