Recently, PolymaxTPE has developed a low-hardness thermoplastic elastomer named D6940, whose performance is superior to that of thermoplastic vulcanized rubber (TPV), which is widely used in window sealing. D6940 has high tear strength, can undergo permanent deformation under low compression, and is cost-effective. D6940 is highly suitable for window seals that require low-stress deformation, rubber seal recovery, as well as resistance to ultraviolet rays and stains and paints. Even when the hardness of D6940 is reduced to 40° Shore, its tensile strength remains 12% higher than that of TPV with a hardness of 60° Shore; it also exhibits a lower compression set of 14% higher than that of TPV at 23°C, as well as a tear strength that is 12% higher than that of TPV at 70°C.
