In the gasification process, the black water system reduces the amount of wastewater discharged, but what is the reason why the hardness does not increase? Is there a standard point to determine whether scaling has occurred within the system based on hardness?
The critical point for hardness scaling is 323 mg/l; above this value, scaling tends to occur.
Is there a theoretical basis for this value? Where does it come from?
It shouldn’t be determined solely based on hardness; total alkalinity also needs to be taken into account to figure out whether scaling will occur. There are no specific values, so it is hoped that practical experience can be gained gradually through actual production processes.
