Issues with the Aspen preparation solution? ? ?

I’m seeking help from experts: When preparing a calcium chloride aqueous solution using Aspen, I checked the parameters of the solution after it was prepared. The temperature of the solution was, for example, 20%, while the temperature rise reached over 30°C; however, the calculations based on the data in the manual indicated only 12°C. I’m not sure why there is such a large discrepancy
I’m not sure where you got your data from; based on the heat of solution, it should be around 40°C. Searches online also indicate a high heat of solution, and Aspen calculations give 43°C. Your figure of over 30°C seems problematic as well – is it not 20%, but rather 20 grams of calcium chloride dissolved in 100 grams of water?
I don’t think we can simply consider only the heat of dissolution of CaCl2; anhydrous calcium chloride should first react with water to form calcium chloride hydrates. Taking hexahydrated calcium chloride as an example, the reaction heat should be calculated first, and then added to the heat of dissolution. Additionally, the dissolution of hexahydrated calcium chloride is endothermic. . . . . . . If it’s possible to conduct experiments, then go ahead and do them
