Advantages and disadvantages of Yulong membrane and Kai membrane

Yulong Membrane: Its advantage lies in the tight fit between the channels and the membrane, which makes it resistant to damage and highly durable; moreover, the quality of the saltwater after filtration is also excellent. The filtration area is basically 1.5 times that of the Kai membrane set, with a higher transmittance. However, all of this saltwater that comes into contact with the In Yulong Membrane must be highly purified, which places high demands on the purification equipment used in the early stages. The disadvantages are relatively obvious: near the ceiling level (i.e., at the sealing area), there are a particularly large number of roots of the Yulong membrane, resulting in a dense arrangement. If the clarity of the brine near the filter is poor from the beginning, this can cause significant problems (clogging), and it is not easy to backwash or clean these roots, after all, the brine flowing into the membrane is under pressure. Of course, if the equipment has high capacity then this problem doesn’t arise, but if it does exist, it can indeed cause quite a significant impact ； Additionally, the sealing methods differ: Yu Long uses an adhesive-like substance for sealing, while Kai Mo features 10 sealing points, all of which consist of sealing rings and titanium nuts. These designs have inherent sealing defects, and leaks can occur due to what seems to be insufficient tightening when high pressure is generated. It seems that Yu Long has the upper hand. However, if your saltwater contains strong oxidizing agents such as free chlorine, it is recommended not to use Yulong. (As a customer, speaking frankly,) the unit will experience extensive peeling within less than 3 years, eventually becoming unusable; in that case, an entire set needs to be replaced, which is quite costly. Speaking of KAI membranes, we use the second-generation version; the original Gore membranes were used in the past but have been phased out for a long time now. The film is very fragile; any impact, whether the package has been opened or not, can cause cracks in the film covering the surface. Although it’s possible to replace individual pieces of this film, doing so increases the workload and affects production, as well as raising production costs. I believe the cost per piece is around 200 yuan, and a set of 9 pieces costs nearly 2,000 yuan. Yu Long’s product has a similar price. To be honest, neither of these membranes is recommended; it’s suggested to try looking for other products instead. Additionally, if the filtered saline used for feeding contains substances such as barium sulfate, it is recommended not to use Yulong, as cleaning clogs becomes very difficult in such cases; the manufacturer’s cleaning agents are required to remove the clogs. Kaimo membranes, on the other hand, have larger pore sizes which facilitate backwashing, so this problem does not arise with them. The storage methods are similar; they require a moist environment or storage in slightly salty water. Hope it’s adopted; give a like. Fortunately, our company has used both types of membranes.
