The design follows the building codes; some aspects are not specified there, but they are covered by the petrochemical regulations. Is it still necessary to comply with them?
Currently, the reviewers require strict compliance with both sets of requirements.
How can it be called ignoring? For some, one standard is used for implementation, while another standard is used during acceptance testing. How can such an attitude work?
Choose the higher one, not the lower one – that’s all there is to it
Choose the higher option rather than the lower one, and enforce it strictly in accordance with the requirements.
Taking both into consideration, one cannot rely solely on building codes or solely on petrochemical regulations.
Now, after 8.12, everyone should follow the higher standards. If there are local regulations (which are generally stricter than the construction codes and petrochemical regulations), those local regulations must also be followed :L
