Classified by structure: there are packed flame arresters (filler-type flame arresters), plate-type flame arresters (which come in parallel plate and porous plate types), metal mesh flame arresters (with relatively poor flame extinguishing capability), liquid-sealed flame arresters, and corrugated flame arresters (which are the most widely used due to their stable performance). ——After reviewing the above classifications, I am sure that wave-shaped flame arresters are used in front of our furnaces, as they are removed, cleaned, or replaced during each maintenance session. I have also personally taken one apart completely, cleaned it, and then reassembled it, so I can confirm this. Its core component is a disc-shaped strip formed by winding stainless steel strips, either flat or corrugated; the fire arresters I have disassembled contained two such discs.
