Advanced membrane materials and membrane integration processes are used to treat high-concentration chemical wastewater, enabling the purification of this water for direct reuse and thus reducing pollution control costs. Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology announced the list of projects in the materials sector under its 2015 Science and Technology Support Program; the project titled “Development and Application Demonstration of Advanced Membrane Materials and Membrane Integration Processes for Treating High-Concentration Chemical Wastewater”, carried out by Lvyuan Water Treatment Co., Ltd. in Cangzhou Lingang Economic and Technological Development Zone (hereinafter referred to as Lingang Development Zone), was included on that list. The company will focus on two key research projects: “Development of coal-based carbon adsorption technology and technologies for converting organic matter in high-concentration chemical wastewater into energy,” and “Construction of a demonstration facility for integrated technologies aimed at converting organic matter in high-concentration chemical wastewater into energy and recovering inorganic salts.” It has received **9.97 million yuan in funding from the Science and Technology Support Program. Chemical wastewater includes circulating cooling wastewater and process wastewater. Among them, process wastewater is often of high concentration (high COD, high salt levels), posing the greatest threat to the environment; existing treatment methods are difficult to apply and come with high operational costs. To overcome this wastewater bottleneck and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the chemical industry, the Management Committee of the Lingang Development Zone entrusted Lvyuan Water Treatment Company to form a research team in collaboration with Tsinghua University and Ocean University of China to work on technological solutions. This project aims at the full utilization of wastewater as a resource. Once completed, the organic substances in the wastewater will be extracted and used as fuel for combustion, while the salts will be separated and concentrated to serve as raw material for chlor-alkali industry processes. The purified wastewater can be reused directly, thereby significantly reducing the costs associated with waste treatment for enterprises. **The Science and Technology Support Program is one of the **three major science and technology programs**, alongside the “863” and “973” programs; the organizations responsible for implementing it are often listed companies, central state-owned enterprises, and teams composed of renowned domestic scholars and experts. After going through rigorous evaluations in various stages such as project feasibility studies, topic reviews, and budget assessments, Cangzhou Lvyuan Water Treatment Co., Ltd. stood out from fierce competition with many top domestic teams and was successfully selected. This also marks that, after becoming a **-level economic and technological development zone, a **-level demonstration park for circular transformation, and a **-level demonstration base for new industrialization industries, the Lingang Development Zone has once again joined the \"** tier\" in terms of its comprehensive research capabilities.
Can dye intermediate wastewater be treated using membrane technology? The same high COD and high salt wastewater

Magnificent is my great China, magnificent is my great Hebei, magnificent is my great Cangzhou! ! ! Good things must be supported. I am from Xian County, Cangzhou, Hebei; I am proud of what I have done and proud of my hometown!
Thank you for the extra points as encouragement. :handshake:handshake:handshake

The organic matter in wastewater is extracted and used as fuel for combustion; burning organic matter generally produces a strong odor – how is that allowed?
