What structure in the separator does the term half-open pipe referred to in the specifications mean?
A half-open pipe refers to the inlet fluid distribution tube in the separator, what is commonly known as a “half-open tube” – that section of the “half-open tube” connected to the end of the air inlet fitting on the inside of the separator housing. It has two functions: first, to preliminarily separate the slug flow and large droplets carried in the airflow ； Secondly, it performs a preliminary distribution of the momentum and kinetic energy of the airflow from the inlet to the radial cross-section within the separator shell.
