Please help me out. I’m installing water treatment pipelines, and I’m using a batch of plastic composite pipes with steel mesh skeletons for the inlet and outlet pipes of pump equipment. The flanges used to connect these pipes to valves and flexible joints are non-standard flanges, and their thickness is insufficient. The manufacturer claims that such flanges are ring forgings, but the relevant standards do not specify any requirements regarding the thickness of ring forgings. Let’s discuss whether this type of flange should be inspected in accordance with **current flange specifications** Are there any guidelines regarding such issues, with clear explanations? I still haven’t found it.
