Can an engineer in Beijing be rated as a senior engineer after 3 years? What are the requirements? Was there anyone who passed?
What’s the point of giving a review? There are no more retirement allowances for those with senior professional titles. In 2015, in accordance with relevant regulations, Guangdong Province ceased to provide preferential adjustments for enterprise retirees holding senior professional titles, and abolished this allowance. According to media reports, officials from the provincial human resources and social security department said that the policy of giving preferential treatment in pension adjustments to those with senior professional titles was somewhat unreasonable in the past.
Engineers should be able to apply for the senior title after 5 years； For the exams in computer science and English, it is advisable to have papers published at the provincial or ministerial level or above

I have a patent, but no papers; I’m not sure if that’s okay
Patents are also an option, but neither patents nor papers are necessary. A thesis is required for the defense; it must have been written within the last two years (i.e., it has to be recent), and the applicant must be the primary author
Materials required for applying for professional title evaluation: 1. 4 one-inch photos. 2. One copy of ID card. 3. One copy of graduation certificate. 4. One copy of intermediate engineer certificate (required for applying for a senior title). 5. One personal resume (including educational background, work experience, work achievements, and projects participated in). 6. 3 relevant papers. 7. Fill out two copies of the “Professional and Technical Position Qualification Assessment Form”. 8. One personal work summary.
