When preparing feasibility study reports and evaluation documents, although it is possible to follow the company’s overall format and structure, errors will still appear in the resulting text, and experts always manage to raise many issues during the review process. Although there is school review, given the large number of pages in the text, no one will read it that carefully; therefore, it is essential to take care to check it thoroughly oneself. Although I know I should read it carefully, once the text is written, I often don’t want to go through it again; no matter how hard I try, I can’t find any mistakes. How can I overcome this problem? ? Does anyone have good methods for finding one’s own mistakes? ? ?

I haven’t written such notebooks myself, but I have read ones written by others. Personally, I think it comes down to a few aspects: 1. Make the page layout and font size more clean and tidy (there are specialized guides on formatting available online); 2. Check to see if any sections are missing. 3. Check whether there are any errors in the text regarding regulations and standards; ensure that the standard numbers and regulation numbers refer to the latest versions, and avoid using outdated versions. 4. The numerical units and order of magnitude for process parameters, environmental parameters (elevation, air pressure, precipitation, temperature, etc.), financial data, etc., are incorrect. 5. Be careful not to get the registered name of Party A’s company wrong; there have been cases where other fields were modified, but the name was forgotten and not corrected. 6. Are there any unclear or contradictory aspects in the description of material and energy balances?
I usually print two copies and then treat them as if they were written by someone else
To be honest, when it comes to something I write myself, even if there are spelling mistakes, I can hardly notice them when I look at it myself–no matter how I look at it, what I write seems correct~
Even after printing, some problems are still difficult to detect. What aspects do you focus on when looking at it?
Leave it for a few days, forget about it for a while, and then take it out to use as a new report.
You can ask a colleague to help check, and also read more by yourself; you must read it out loud so that you can spot mistakes
