Can propane be used instead of acetylene in gas welding and cutting to reduce costs?
Our factory used liquefied gas as a substitute for acetylene for a long time, but then switched back to acetylene, as its flame temperature is higher.
Do you use propane instead of acetylene for gas cutting or gas welding? Was it changed back just because of the temperature issue?
Absolutely, there are no requirements or restrictions!
Is there a better and cheaper alternative gas than propane? Like natural gas?
I don’t know about the cost price! I’m using acetylene for this; I’ve never changed it
I’ve also seen it being used, and it doesn’t seem to have any downsides.

It will be cheaper, but it’s not as effective as acetylene; just get used to using it
