I would like to ask whether it is necessary to include a material sheet for the welding materials in the factory documentation of pressure vessels. The regulations only require a certificate stating the material composition of the main pressure-bearing components; the regulations are somewhat vague on this point, but the latest interpretation of these regulations states that the material list should include information regarding the materials used in the main pressure-bearing components. If I list only the information on the main compression elements in my material list and attach the material certification documents afterwards, would that be acceptable as well? (In other words, the information on ordinary compression components is not provided, nor are the material sheets for those components or those for the welding materials supplied.) ）
The Code specifies the main pressure-bearing components: cylinder, head, tube sheet, equipment flanges, heat exchange tubes, manway connections, manway covers, manway flanges, connections with DN≥250, stiffening rings, and welding materials. The main stressed components must be accompanied by material certification documents. General compression members other than the main compression members do not require material certification documents. However, material certification documents must be provided when purchasing materials.
