Thread Content
After reading the following post and considering my own feelings, I suggest that the forum add a “attachment preview” feature. That is, the attachment uploaded by the original poster allows for previewing all the content or the first few pages, so that readers can decide whether they need to download it. After all, not all SeaUser members take screenshots when uploading files, and not all moderators go through these procedures. It’s not right to cheat for points like this! ! ! ! - Powered by Discuz! http://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-1541487-1-1.html
Like it! If the poster doesn’t provide a screenshot, it’s difficult for the moderators to manage things; it’s somewhat irresponsible not to download and take a look when managing, but downloading screenshots adds to the workload!
It’s a good idea, but the preview function is limited to formats such as Word and PDF. HaiChuan also has restrictions on attachments; many of them are compressed files or even split into several parts, making it impossible to preview them. I think it’s quite difficult to implement this from a technical standpoint. Regarding posts about sharing attachments, it was suggested a long time ago that screenshots should be used to provide explanations: http://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-1191024-1-1.html. But then again, people tend to think from their own perspective; while many are willing to share out of kindness, making things more thorough is quite difficult. On the other hand, if the moderator sees it, they can remind the original poster to add a high score after making revisions, or help edit it.
The original poster has a good idea; I support it. As Rili Super Edition said, it would be great if previews could be available for files like Word and PDF (that is, individual Word and PDF files under 14M in size). However, so far I haven’t seen any forum with this feature. When non-compliant sharing materials are found, moderators will need to keep reminding people for now. Additionally, there should be a technical restriction on the permission to sell attachments: it should either be completely removed or available only to users with higher access levels. In any case, this measure is necessary to prevent downloaders from paying twice yet not receiving anything useful in return.
Baidu Wenku, Longchuan website – PDF files can be previewed there.

I completely agree with the opinion of the Sharp Enhanced version. When managing posts about information sharing, try to assess the value of the information before giving a rating; you can provide guidance through comments or replies. This will increase the workload for the moderators. If a preview function for PDF and Word documents can be implemented, I hope the forum will provide it.
I’ve never had the permission to view attachments, due to the company’s network settings. Once, I went back after work to take a look, and ended up getting into a fight with someone. ;P
It’s really frustrating; there isn’t much wealth available, and it’s not very good either if people keep dropping in without any purpose~~~~ Screenshots are also a good option~~~~
There are plugins with this functionality, but they may not be fully mature. Operational efficiency also needs to be considered. I’ll install it and test it later; if it works, at least the management team will be able to view it
I downloaded a PPT yesterday; it’s completely unreadable, but the screenshots still contain content.
