Automatic backwashing of coal tar filter elements for cleaning. Steam and nitrogen have been used for automatic backwashing during normal operation, and alcohol has also been used for cleaning and maintenance, but the results were not good. Fire treatment is effective, but it causes too much damage to the filter element, leading to local deformation of it. Does anyone with experience have any good suggestions? Are there any other companies that still use automatic backflush filters? How are the filter elements handled during maintenance?
The 25μ automatic backwash filter element was cleaned with a high-pressure water gun, and the results were good.

First, boil it in water, then add a small amount of degreasing agent or alkaline solution; After removing it, it can be easily cleaned with a brush dipped in cleaning oil! Under no circumstances use steam for cleaning – the Johnson net structure can be easily damaged at high temperatures, which will result in poor filtering performance once it is put back into use. In the case of domestically produced filters, one such cleaning session is usually enough to render them unusable
It cannot be removed using a high-pressure water gun; it might be removed if the water is directed at it head-on, but the filter mesh will definitely be damaged. Many manufacturers are not even aware that their filter meshes have been ruined!
