We are an ammonia refrigeration station. A few of these are safety valves for liquid ammonia storage tanks under fire conditions. According to the latest environmental assessment requirements, is it necessary to provide the discharge time of the safety valves? Our safety valve has a set pressure of 2.2 MPaG. 97% reseating. Medium: Ammonia. Discharge volume: 15.3 t/h; Discharge temperature: 50°C. The pipeline network uses DN600 pipes, with a length of approximately 1300 meters. Assume that during the first discharge, the safety valve returned to its seated position without triggering again. So how should this emission time be calculated? Some people say that time can be calculated using △P*V/emission rate. I don’t quite understand; who has calculated it? Shall we discuss this together?

EIA requires calculating the total emissions of characteristic pollutants.

The activation of a safety valve indicates an accident condition; a fire that causes the safety valve to activate represents an emergency discharge as part of accident response. If calculating environmental pollution should involve the pollutants released normally into the atmosphere, I’m not sure what experts think about this
