I have just started working in automatic control design. I previously worked at an electric power construction company for two years and then at a power plant for another year; now that I am in this field, I feel uncertain. What are the main processes involved in this work? What are the main challenges? What should beginners pay attention to in order to make fewer mistakes and improve their design skills? What materials should I consult? Which books?

Students majoring in electrical engineering are probably in a better position; at least they have some basic concepts of control, which gives them an advantage when dealing with digital signals. Next, you will come across the logic diagram; before starting work, be sure to begin with the reference project and study it thoroughly, even if it is a copy. 3. Only lastly will one come across various text-based designs, such as control requirements, etc. By this time, you’ll be able to do it almost without any further teaching.
