Can the position of the square natural compensator between the fixing brackets be moved freely, and does this affect the thrust exerted on the fixing brackets?
It can be adjusted, but it is not recommended; symmetry is generally better. You can think about it: 20 meters on one side and 50 meters on the other – the force acting on the turning point will definitely be different. If there are constraints on-site that require adjustments, a recalculation must be done
Theoretically, it can be moved; when centered, the fixing frames on both sides are under the least stress. With two compensators and three fixing frames, the fixing frame in the middle is in approximate balance with those on either side, resulting in the least stress. If it is moved, one of them will necessarily experience increased stress.
