On August 8, 2015, the gasification unit of Jingneng Group’s 2×5 million tons/year lignite upgrading project, constructed by Sinochem Second Construction, began operation. Located in Dongwu Banner, Xilin Gol League, Inner Mongolia, this project has a total investment of 8.95 billion yuan. It utilizes coal pyrolysis (LCC) technology and multi-nozzle opposed water-coal slurry gasification technology, and makes use of the lignite resources from the Wunit Coal Mine in Dongwu Banner to produce 5.292 million tons of high-quality solid fuel (PMC) per year, as well as 482,000 tons of diesel, 186,500 tons of naphtha, and 15,100 tons of LPG.
The approach for Jingneng’s lignite upgrading project is as follows: lignite pyrolysis (LCC) – gasification of semi-coke and water-coal slurry to produce syngas – Fischer-Tropsch indirect liquefaction. According to a report in the \"Synthetic Oil News\" published by Zhongke Synthetic Oil on May 15, 2015, the design for Jingneng’s lignite upgrading project (involving 500,000 tons of iron-based slurry-bed Fischer-Tropsch synthesis using Zhongke Synthetic Oil’s technology) is expected to be completed by April 2016, with operation starting in 2019.
The LCC (Low-rank Coal Conversion) process (Datang Huayin) produces semi-coke (Process Middle Coke, PMC), which is a high-quality solid fuel
It would be better if it were more specific, don’t you think?
Hello, any progress on the project?
