How should the drain pipes in the steam pipelines of chemical plant utility tunnels be designed to facilitate liquid drainage while also allowing for the recovery of condensate?
The drain pipe of the main steam pipeline is used to remove condensate water promptly. In winter, it is usually set to a half-turn position to ensure timely drainage and prevent freezing; generally, the water is not recycled but is discharged directly, probably due to cost considerations.
