Steam flow issue in the overheater of the exhaust gas incinerator

In the exhaust gas incinerator, the steam inlet and outlet of the steam superheater are arranged from front to back; why isn’t it convective like other heat exchangers? Why was it designed this way?
This post was last edited by ylb913 on 2016-4-15 06:03. This process was adopted only when the third sulfur recovery unit was designed by the 3D design department in our factory. The purpose is to prevent overheating at the inlet of the superheater; it is quite common for the actual operating temperature of the incinerator to be much higher than the designed value.
