Soft water is used to supply water to the boiler (boiler load: 11 t/h of steam output). Is it still necessary to use a chemical dosing system? Under what specific circumstances is such a system required? Please ask the master for guidance
Soft water is needed to remove only calcium and magnesium ions; however, cations and anions remain in the boiler water. Prolonged evaporation and wastewater discharge lead to an increase in salt content, so chemicals must be added to balance the parameters of the boiler water
Soft water is water from which the hardness ions (calcium and magnesium ions) have been removed, but other ions such as sodium, potassium, ammonium, and certain anion ions may still be present. These ions can lead to the accumulation of salts in the water inside the boiler, which in turn affects the quality of the steam and the safe operation of the boiler. Boiler feed water should be pure water that meets the specified standards. It is necessary to adjust the acidity and alkalinity of the water inside the boiler, and additives such as scale inhibitors, corrosion inhibitors, and deoxidizers should also be used to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the boiler.
Look at the uses of steam! If it is only heating, there is no need to add chemicals ； If driving a turbine, desalination still needs to be considered.
