The load remains relatively stable at around 83%, the liquid outlet valve of the synthesis tower does not move when operated manually, and the liquid outlet valve of the stripping tower also does not move when operated manually. The vapor pressure compressor V905 is as well fairly stable. The liquid level in the stripping tower fluctuates between 40% and 60%, sometimes dropping below 30%, which leads to air entrainment in the stripping tower and fluctuations in the low-pressure system. Let’s analyze what caused it.

The pressure in the stripping tower needs to be kept stable to ensure a constant inlet flow rate, and thus the liquid level will remain stable.
The liquid level indication in the stripper is inaccurate and too high; there is air leakage.
Is it due to a low liquid level in the stripping tower, or fluctuations in the composition of the liquid exiting the synthesis tower?
We experienced this issue in our stripping tower a few years ago; it was mainly due to problems with the outlet valve of the tower. After several improvements, the situation has now stabilized. It is recommended to check communication between the automatic control valves and the instrumentation staff to identify any issues with those valves.
There are various reasons for this: 1) unstable components in the feed, 2) unstable steam pressure, 3) issues with the level gauge readings, 4) unstable self-regulation of the discharge valve – all of these can cause fluctuations in the liquid level in the stripping tower
