I am now planning to collect steam condensate, with water temperatures above 90 degrees Celsius. Initially, I thought of using galvanized steel pipes, but I’m concerned about rust; on the other hand, I’m worried that plastic pipes have too high an expansion coefficient. I’m not sure what thin-walled stainless steel or ductile iron would be suitable – I hope those who have experience in this area can advise me on which type of pipe would be most appropriate and cost-effective, especially since the pipes will be buried underground. Thank you.
A 20# carbon steel pipe can be used.
Has anyone used this product? Could you explain how anti-corrosion is achieved? Also, how does its price compare to that of other types of pipes? I’m a beginner and don’t understand many things; I hope you can give me some guidance. Thank you
Burying it underground isn’t very reliable; why bury it at all?
It’s difficult to walk on the elevated sections indoors. Does being buried underground or on an elevated structure have any impact on this? Applying anti-corrosion measures should solve the problem, I guess; I’m not entirely sure though
The key lies in the purpose of the condensate water; different purposes require different types of steel pipes, and stainless steel pipes are recommended when high standards are required for the application.

Boiler pipes can be used as well, with the standard for such pipes being GB13296-2012. The original poster can add me on QQ (message me through InnerChat)

It’s not the condensate water from boilers; it’s the condensate water from steam-powered central air conditioning systems and hot standby steam

The quality of the steam condensate is still very good; by measuring its conductivity, it can be used as pure water if that’s possible. Stainless steel pipes can be used for its transport, and no other measures are required.
