Construction of the Jiujiang Yuxin Rare Metal Materials Project Has Began 2015-12-09 Source: Jiujiang Daily Recently, it was reported from the Jiujiang Export Processing Zone that construction of the Yuxin Rare Metal Materials Project has officially begun. It is reported that this project was jointly funded by Beijing Great Wall Titanium Company and Hangzhou Yu’an Company, with a total investment of 120 million yuan. It aims to build a production line capable of manufacturing 430 tons per year of rare metal materials. The project operates on a model of leasing factory facilities and carrying out construction while production takes place; it mainly produces products such as niobium-zirconium, niobium-titanium, niobium-tin, zirconium-titanium superconducting and catalyst materials, as well as metals and processed products made from zirconium, hafnium, niobium, tantalum, tungsten, molybdenum, and titanium. Many of the technologies used in the production of these products fill gaps in domestic capabilities. These products are widely used in high-tech fields such as aerospace, military equipment, optoelectronics, communications, superconductivity, special steels, superalloys, and precision instruments, resulting in strong market demand. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation in September 2016; once it reaches full capacity, it will be able to generate annual main business revenue of 200 million yuan and profits and taxes of 10 million yuan.
