Do the bolt holes for the flange at the bottom of the storage tank need to be arranged at the mid-span, and why?
There is stress at the mid-span on the side, but not on the bottom surface. Are there any other reasons?
For the mid-span section, one aspect is the basic layout, and the other is aligning the valve handle position.
I’m not sure about this; it’s some kind of habit, meant to prevent forgetting at the time of crossing. It’s like wearing a helmet even on sunny days – especially during prefabrication
It is arranged across the midpoint, primarily to prevent leakage from horizontal containers and the resulting corrosion of bolts, which could cause harm. It is most dangerous to position the lowest bolt in the center. It’s of no use for vertical containers.
