I have been working on simulations of multi-effect evaporation recently, and I encountered problems with the HeatX module. In actual production, due to the presence of a steam trap, if the steam cannot be completely condensed, it remains in the shell side of the reboiler and cannot escape, resulting in an increase in pressure inside the reboiler. This, in turn, affects the pressure of the evaporator in the previous stage. However, in AspenPlus’ HeatX module, steam is generated, which does not correspond to reality.
