As the title suggests, why is fresh water added to the inlet of the rich solvent pump in the solvent regeneration unit? What’s the use? Thank you
Fresh water pipelines are mainly used during startup and shutdown, for cleaning the tower or for water transportation
Many pumps are connected to fresh water pipelines, which are then sealed off using delta blind flanges; if they are sealed, they can probably only be used when the system is put into operation.
It is mainly used for flushing pipes and towers during startup and shutdown!
