Advantages and disadvantages of flat-bottom discharge centrifuges and two-stage piston-type discharge centrifuges
The requirements for materials in a two-stage system are somewhat stricter: they must be in the form of crystal particles, with high production volumes and good continuity
For materials whose particle size is above 0.1, where the solid-liquid volume ratio can be increased to around 40%, and for applications requiring high continuous production rates, a two-stage piston centrifuge is recommended. The flat-plate type is a centrifuge that feeds material in intervals; it has strong adaptability to the properties of the material and high separation efficiency, but it requires heavy labor and has low efficiency.
