What modules are involved in the signal from the pressure transmitter to the DCS? How is interlocking done?
The 4-20 mADC signal generated by the pressure transmitter is fed into the DCS card, and through configuration as well as processing by the DCS CPU, the actual measurement values are displayed on the operation screen. If it is necessary to generate alarms for high or low pressure levels, a comparison module is selected within the DCS’s SFC function block; this module compares the measured values with the set alarm values and generates a digital signal that triggers the relay, thereby achieving interlock functionality.
