Air blockage can sometimes occur during water-transport processes. What are the causes of air blockage and how can it be resolved? I would appreciate some advice from the experts here.
Both water and methanol exhibit gas resistance; by increasing the exhaust at the higher points during normal operation, there is no problem
Gases dissolved in a liquid are desorbed due to changes in pressure and temperature (usually a decrease in pressure and an increase in temperature), and they accumulate at the highest points of the equipment and pipes, thereby creating some obstruction to the flow of the liquid; this is known as gas lock. The solution is to vent at regular intervals at high points.
It generally occurs at U-shaped bends; a higher point should be added for venting
