Allocation ratios of design workload among specialties All design projects are divided into three stages: pre-design, preliminary design, and construction drawing design. The division of tasks among different specialties at each stage is carried out in accordance with the company’s regulations. The allocation ratios of design workload among specialties are specified as follows: 1.1 Chemical plant design projects The allocation ratios of design workload among specialties at various stages of chemical plant design are detailed in Tables 1 to 5. The design scope of chemical plants includes: process production units, analysis and testing laboratories within the plant (or workshop), control rooms, power distribution rooms, offices, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance areas, as well as the process heating pipelines, external power lines, telecommunications facilities, roads, and overall site layout within the plant area. Excluded: raw materials, finished product warehouses, wastewater treatment, circulating water, main substation, overall plant transportation as well as mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance, plant-wide living and welfare facilities and analysis and testing services, and plant-wide utility facilities. The budgeting department prepares the construction drawing budget, calculating the output value by multiplying the actual charges by the project coefficient. (2) The pre-design phase refers to tasks such as proposals, project proposals, and (pre-)feasibility study reports, which can be charged separately. Activities such as soliciting quotes for technology introduction projects, external technical exchanges, and contract negotiations are all included in the preliminary design phase.
