Why does the furnace shut down automatically due to low gas pressure in the heating furnace?
A low gas pressure can itself cause the flame to go out.
A low pressure of the fuel gas can easily cause the flame to go out; if this is not detected in time, explosive gases can accumulate in the furnace, leading to an explosion. Therefore, a low-pressure interlock for the fuel gas is installed.
A low pressure of the fuel gas can lead to backfire; from a safety perspective, the pilot light must never be extinguished at any time during operation, as it is more important than the main fuel gas. Therefore, the low interlock value for the constant light is relatively high. Tempering in a heating furnace is an abnormal condition during operation, which can easily damage the equipment and injure the operators. Tempering often occurs under the following three conditions: 1. Low gas pressure (for example, the pressure behind the valve is below 0.5 kg/cm²). 2. The operation was incorrect when turning off the burner; the primary air valve was not closed first. 3. In the event of an emergency shutdown, the gas should be cut off from the control room.
