In pharmaceutical engineering, a solvent recovery tower handles a very small volume of fluid per hour; as a result, the heat exchanger required is also very small, with an area of less than 1 square meter. Standard selection is out of the question; I heard that small jacketed tanks can be used as a substitute. Is that okay?
Can a shell-and-tube heat exchanger be used?
