Dear experts, I’m a novice in safety matters and need some advice. Our company has an unused workshop that was previously used for the distillation and purification of sulfuric acid; it has been idle for two or three years now. We want to convert this workshop into a warehouse for storing packaging barrels. The area of the workshop is not large, around 50 square meters. In this case, do I need to report this to the safety supervision department? Is it necessary to follow the requirements related to the simultaneous implementation of construction, safety measures, and environmental protection measures?
Mark it as scrapped or out of use; there’s no need for the three simultaneities requirement, as it’s not a new construction project – it’s just a warehouse
Perhaps through the safety supervision agency, this workshop can first be shut down and converted into a warehouse, in which case the three simultaneities requirement may not apply.
This has nothing to do with the principle of simultaneous implementation of three aspects; as long as safety is ensured, work is facilitated, and production costs are reduced, why not do it?
