The communication protocols used are mainly Modbus and Profibus; their bandwidth and response speeds are much lower than those of industrial Ethernet. I now want to transmit the field I/O data from the on-site PLCs, via industrial Ethernet protocols (fiber optic), to the DCS, but after checking various options, I haven’t found any suitable cards for this purpose
It has the Modbus TCP protocol; the network layer uses TCP/IP, and the messages are in Modbus format.
I know that, but modbustcp is nothing like TCP/IP at all. . Whether it’s bandwidth or speed. .
