After the electrolytic rectifier is shut down due to interlock, what are the corresponding interlocks?
Stop adding acid to the cell; stop feeding brine into the cell. Stop the hydrogen compressor and the chlorine compressor. Activate the polarization power supply; turn off ZV-231 and turn on ZV-241. The automatic nitrogen filling valve connected to the catholyte tank opens automatically, allowing a certain amount of nitrogen to be introduced. Open the vent of the hydrogen washing tower, and open the valve for emergency chlorine flow.
Additional note: The steam generation of the interlocked catholyte heat exchanger should be turned off, as well as the pure water filling valve. It is advisable to apply the polarization current only after confirming that there is overflow on both the anode and cathode sides of the cell. The automatic valve of the hydrogen delivery scrubber closes, and the electrolysis vent valve opens automatically. The nitrogen valve of the hydrogen inlet main pipe is opened.
Additional note: In the event of interlock in the electrolyzer tank, the polarized rectifier must not be put into operation under the following two conditions: ground fault interlock and pressure difference interlock.
Ground fault interlock---understandable; Differential pressure interlock-----it depends on the situation. I don’t know what kind of condition we’re facing, so I’m hesitant to activate polarization. Feel free to share it so everyone can learn from it*
