A 350,000-ton sulfuric acid production plant; the waste heat boiler has recently shown unsatisfactory water quality. At first, it was due to problems with the desalinated water; now that the level of desalinated water is approaching normal, it’s still not possible to raise the pH value of the boiler water. Adding chemicals or liquid alkali, or even directly adding liquid alkali to the deaerator, does not yield good results either. It’s been several days in a row. I seek advice from experts! ! !

Thank you, expert. The pH of the desalinated water is currently around 7.6, while that of the boiler water is less than 7. The chemical added is trisodium phosphate, at the normal dosage. Also, yesterday over a 12-hour period, 25 liters of 48% liquid caustic was added.
The phosphate level in the boiler is close to 15; both the pH and conductivity shouldn’t be this low
Can the accuracy of the measuring instrument be determined?
Do the pH and conductivity change after adding lye? Should liquid caustic be added intermittently or continuously?
