China Net, Fushun, September 28 (Reporter Li Jia) – Di Jian is the head of the Information Technology Application R&D Center at Fushun Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd., which is part of China National Petroleum and Natural Gas Group Corporation. He is also a specially appointed advisor for the robotics and intelligent equipment industry in Shenfu New City, Fushun. He used to be an ordinary fitter in a workshop, but driven by his passion for science and technology, he worked hard without giving up and eventually became a nationally renowned research expert in the field of microelectronics. He successively developed China’s first set of specialized management software for work teams, namely the \"Comprehensive Team Management Software TIS System\", designed specifically to improve the level of information management in production teams. A multi-functional digital monitoring system for third-generation devices has been developed, and at present, work is underway to develop the fourth-generation product. In 2014, he successfully developed the FDB-01 portable hydrogen sulfide detector, which is the size of a badge. This detector is currently the smallest and lightest in the world, as well as the one with the highest sensitivity among intrinsically safe, explosion-proof portable hydrogen sulfide detectors available in China. In the fall of 2014, he joined our country’s only research institute specializing in robotics technology, where he took the lead in developing robots. At the end of 2015, the intelligent fire extinguishing and explosion suppression system designed for the petrochemical industry was developed – the fire extinguishing and explosion suppression robot. This system can operate 24/7 without human supervision, features rapid response times and reliable performance, enabling it to eliminate potential fire and explosion hazards at an early stage, thus filling a gap in the industry. The prototype production has been completed, and the samples are currently being sent for testing to obtain the necessary certifications; mass production is set to begin within 2016. With wisdom, hard work, and sweat, Di Kejian has created numerous scientific and technological achievements for society. The “Multifunctional Digital Monitoring System for Equipment Operation” he developed passed the evaluation for new products (new technologies) in Liaoning Province, and won the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Achievements awarded by the China Construction Enterprise Management Association, as well as the Award for Excellent New Products in Liaoning Province and the Scientific and Technological Achievement Award from CNPC Northeast Refining & Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. He is a role model for industrial workers in the new era, a craftsman with an international perspective and truly outstanding technical skills.
