Reasons for the increase in the seal air pressure of the air compressor

There are 2 air compression units in the air separation unit; the sealing gas is drawn from the booster pump, with a pressure of 0.78 Mpa. It operates normally, and after pressure reduction, the pressure of the sealing gas becomes 2–7 kpa. However, the seal air pressure of one of the air compressors has been on the high side at 7 KPA since the last startup, and it shows an upward trend. What’s going on? The pipeline was checked and found to be in good condition; after adjusting the pressure-reducing valve for the seal gas supply to a lower setting, the pressure of the seal gas still rose to 9 kPa after some time! What other factors are related to the pressure of the sealing gas?
Personally, I think it’s a seal gas leak (from the medium side to the seal gas side)

The seal is leaking, the wear-resistant sleeve is worn out, and the medium is flowing back – that’s my opinion
