I’m currently working on a small project that involves a heat exchanger; the parameters for its selection have been submitted to the equipment manufacturer for production, and I’m going to the factory next week to inspect the equipment. Since I work in the field of manufacturing processes, I’m a complete novice when it comes to equipment inspection; I’m just going along to observe. But I still want to know the specific process and points to note, so I hope everyone will actively share their insights. If there are excellent replies, please ask the old moderators to give everyone more points~~ (1) What are the main things to check when going to the equipment manufacturer to inspect heat exchangers? Conduct airtightness and water tightness pressure tests? Check the welding condition? Check the basic dimensions? I hope everyone can give me some guidance~ (2) What documents are needed for equipment acceptance? The heat exchanger drawings were submitted for approval before production; are there any other materials needed for production? (3) What do I need to bring with me to ensure a smooth inspection? Just use a book with 151; where are the acceptance criteria?
Are the device dimensions appropriate, is the material suitable, and do the size and orientation of the pipe openings as well as the length meet the requirements of the manufacturing process? Check whether the heat exchange tubes are leak-free and meet the requirements of the drawings. (Some manufacturers simply plug up the leaks in the pipes without informing the owners or the design firm, emphasizing that these leaks need to be carefully checked.) Check whether the dimensions of the supports meet the requirements specified for civil engineering works and are consistent with the drawings. There are many more. . . Compare item by item in accordance with the acceptance requirements of GB/T151-2014.
